Scraping underneath the floorboards dark room suddenly teeming
With digressions from other dimensions no logical sense or meaning
Pull the covers up to keep the cold out they turn to dust in my mouth
Wake up the neighbors choking looks like this whole night's going south

Hang over me
Like a shark with its jaws unlocked
Hang above me
Like a warhead just about to drop

Intricate designs laces with adhesive catching only curious flies
Leaving me to wallow in all the thoughts that I despise
Tear down this New Age emptiness nothing to have faith in now
Steel myself against the floaters in my eyes that take form and make me scream aloud

Hang within me
Wait for your next instruction
Run inside of me
Contribute to my mental destruction

Wake up on the top floor of a crumbling abandoned building
Streams of water drip down from a bow curve ceiling
Trapped in a horizontal fashion can't move my arms or legs
Think I might spend the next morning becoming one with the dregs

Then the mood shifts
And I see the sunrise on the horizon
I have taken control
I got a prize to keep my eyes on

And then on the shores of the primordial ooze
As my knees sink deep into the sand
Something takes the form of the one I love
And guns me down where I stand
