about

Sam: What is she doing in Syracuse?
Al: I bet a lot people ask themselves that question.
- Quantum Leap

The cascade of waterfalls in the backyard. The endless plains through which a road cuts a path towards the top of the world. The apple farms lining the county routes which link one small town to another. The village waking up for yet another quiet day, in which everyone hides their pain with pleasant platitudes.

The five songs on this EP reflect on life in one of these small towns, most specifically one in Central New York. It is both a wistful look back and a curious look ahead. You never leave the place where you grew up, it seems, but you never know if you'll end up there.
